 between where Interstate 5 and 14 meet.

• Saugus Train Station and Heritage Junction - a fun museum and the headquarters of the SCV Historical society dedicated to preserving the heritage of the SCV.

• Mentryville - Historical 19th Century western structures give visitors an authentic look into the past of California's "black gold" boom town era.

• Vasquez Rocks - fascinating geology and the site of hundreds of motion pictures and television productions.

• St. Francisquito Dam - site one of the deadliest disasters in California history (second only to the San Francisco earthquake and fire of 1906) after the failure of the dam on March 12, 1928.

• Placerita Nature Center - visit the Oak of the Golden dream where the first authenticated gold discovered in California happened on March 9, 1842.  Also see the historic walker cabin and look at snakes and tarantulas.
